A Personal Account of a Salvage Vehicle Buyer

Buying a salvage title vehicle can be a pocket-friendly proposition. After I purchased a salvage title car, I decided to go for a Kawasaki bike. Since the beginning, my strategy has been to buy a relatively newer salvage vehicle and get it repaired. The best part is that it gives you the freedom to own a vehicle without any worries or monthly payments.

I always make sure to get an exact estimate of the repairs and also have a fair idea about purchasing the parts that would be required during the repair work. To be doubly sure, I take pictures of the vehicle that I contemplate buying and show them to my trusted mechanic. After he makes a thorough visual inspection, I get an idea about its overall condition. Of course he charges me for it, but it’s all worth my money.

By this time I am well aware of the expenses and parts that would be required to buy a salvage car.  When saving money is the mission, I trust online salvage auctions even for purchasing auto parts.

Initially, I too considered salvage vehicle a risky business like most people. However, I gradually realized that not all salvage vehicles are badly damaged. In fact, it means that it has a past history. I refer to the Vehicle Identification Number to gather maximum information about a vehicle. While purchasing the Kawasaki bike, I got the vehicle history from relevant sources and could also make an estimation of the repair cost.

The bidding process:

Before I could start bidding on an online salvage auction site, I had to register myself as a member and deposit a small refundable security deposit. After registration, I used the vehicle search option for easy navigation through the various options available in the website. I could start bidding right after I had selected the vehicle that I wanted. Even while bidding I was given an option to choose from a preliminary auction or live auction, or both. After I won the bidding I was informed that I had to make the payment by the next business day.

An invoice of my purchase was generated that included the final sale price, the fees applicable for the auction and transaction fees. Once the payment was made successfully, the purchased vehicle was shipped to my place. These companies have expertise in transporting vehicles to any international or domestic destination.

Biker’s pride, other’s envy

Biking is my passion and the sheer joy of riding makes me feel alive. It all started when I was 12 and saw Ghost Rider for the first time. The bike stunts simply surged my heart beat and left me wanting more. It was then that I realized my passion for bikes and started exploring them and building them from scraps.

Growing up in Nevada exposed me to various forms of adventure. My uncle always visited us during the summer when he would go out on a tour with his Harley Davidson gang.  He owned a Harley-Davidson FLHTCUI Ultra Classic Electra Glide and since then, my cherished desire has been to own one of the best American muscle bikes, the Harley-Davidson. Everything about the bike is distinct, from the powerful looks to its engine sound. It stands out from the rest, even now.

Often people ask me what makes Harley Davidson so special? Well I wish it was that simple to answer. It is one of the best bike companies in the world, and it manufactures bikes for women as well. Although, these bikes are sold at a high price range, it is possible for you to get one within your own budget too. A used or salvaged bike can be found at real affordable prices. My personal experience in this case has been quite fruitful.

With online auto auctions, the first step is to get yourself registered. Next, a security deposit is required for the process and I was able to bid on the bike of my choice. Luckily I won the bike as mine happened to be the highest bid. Now, I own two Harleys. It is indeed true that once you own a Harley, you become loyal to the brand for life. Buy a Harley-Davidson and you won’t ask about its specialty. Own one, drive one and the ride will be the answer to all your questions.

Some of the Japanese car manufacturers are Toyota, Daihatsu, Honda, Suzuki, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Mazda and Subaru among others. Japanese cars are also known to be more reliable especially if you are looking to buy a used car. Let’s explore some of the Japanese engineering wonders:
